AIRBUS UK Broughton's director of football Andy Preece is the Welsh Premier League's manager of the month for the second consecutive month.

Preece, who has yet to see his charges beaten in a competitive game this season, saw his side record three wins from four in October along with one draw.

The Wingmakers started the month by drawing 1-1 at home to reigning champions The New Saints in the league, which was followed by a 4-1 home win over Aberystwyth Town.

Airbus then win 1-0 away in Bangor City in another league match before beating TNS 2-1 at home in the quarter finals of the Word Cup.

Preece was told of the award before Saturday's live TV game by S4/C presenter Malcolm Allen, who suggested that the 'curse' could strike.

"It didn't happen last month - people only remember when teams lose afterwards so I bet if someone did the stats there's more wins than losses," Preece quipped.

And Preece was proved right as his charges went on to beat Prestatyn Town 2-0 and make it 11 league games undefeated.

Two awards in a row is a rare feat and Preece added: "I don't think many managers have done that with TNS in the league, it's great, but it's not manager of the month really, it's team of the month."
