MANAGEMENT duo Carl Darlington and Scott Ruscoe got off to a winning start as the Saints beat Airbus UK Broughton 3-1 at Park Hall.

It was a far from vintage performance by TNS, but steadied the ship after two successive defeats and took Saints back to the top of the Welsh Premier table.
It took the hosts until the 51st-minute to finally prise open the Wingmakers' defence when former TNS defender Tommy Holmes could only half-clear a cross and Alex Darlington, who had hit the bar in the first-half, crashed home from 18 yards.
Minutes before, visiting keeper Niki Lee-Bulmer had pulled-off a superb fingertip save to keep out a stinging effort from Chris Marriott which was headed for the roof of the net.
Matty Williams almost added a second but was denied by a double save from Lee-Bulmer, who had parried a shot from Darlington, who soon fed Craig Jones on the right and fired the return pass narrowly wide from 25-yards.
The visitors had rarely threatened before substitute Ian Sheridan was allowed to head home unmarked from Adam Worton's cross on 71 minutes to give the Saints a wake-up call.
But the lead lasted just three minutes before Williams side-footed past Lee-Bulmer from a Jones cross to the near post.
And any hopes of a second coming from Airbus were crushed five minutes from time when Chris Seargeant hammered home a superb 20-yarder via the underside of the crossbar.
