In Yesterday`s FAW Welsh Cup third round draw Airbus UK Broughton were paired with Blue Square Bet Premier Leader and Close Friends Wrexham FC,  The Tie scheduled for Saturday 3rd December at the Racecourse brings together the two Clubs that have a very good working relationship, with Wrexham having loaned Airbus UK Broughton Nick Rushton and Leon Clowes last Season and with the Dragons using the Airifeld to Stage Reserve Matches under the tenure of Dean Saunders and Brian Carey.

Wrexham return to the Competition of a 16 year absence and are likely to want to go far in the Competition with a chance the the FAW and English FA Allowing them or Newport County to enter Europe should they win the Competition. This would open up another depate for Clubs in Wales who may wish to join the English System Competitions- surely having to be allowed if allowing exiled Club back in, time will tell on this subject but there would be legal challenges for sure.

Airbus UK Broughton are currently discussing the Wrexham Fixture with Wrexham Secretary Geraint Parry in a bid to agree a date for the fixture- Wrexham are scheduled to play away at Tamworth in the Conference on the 3rd of December and a number of options are likely to be discussed- full confirmation will be posted on this website once everything is agreed by both Clubs.
