Airbus UK Broughton Football Club are happy to announce that they have agreed a deal to sign Colwyn Bay Striker Ian Sheridan for an undisclosed fee. Sheridan was last season`s Managers and Players Player of the Season at Llanelian Road  scoring more than 20 goals in the process. None more important than the goal that secured Colwyn Bay`s promotion to the Evo Stick Premier League.

Sheridan agreed personal terms this evening (Thurs 30th Dec) and has signed a 2 year contract. Sheridan has already met and trained with his new team mates this evening and subject to the completion of paperwork at FAW Head Quarters on Friday morning should be available to go straight into the Squad to face Bala Town at Maes Tegid on Sun 2nd Jan.

Sheridan is the second signing made by Craig Harrison after his capture of Eddie Hope from Ellesmere Rangers who will add strength and power to an already talented midfield, Sheridan`s pace will be another asset to Airbus firepower for the remainder of the season. Hope has also received clearance to be involved at Bala Town.

Harrison was delighted with the signing of his 2 newest players “ I am delighted to have them both on board, both players add something to the squad that we didn’t have before they arrived, hopefully they will help us drive on and improve both before and after the League Splits in February”

Airbus UK Broughton Chairman Paul McKinlay was equally delighted and excited about the new additions stating “We are all delighted the Ian and Eddie have decided to join Airbus UK Broughton, Ian is a proven goal scorer and Eddie adds strength and Quality to the Midfield area and we hope their additions can propel us into the top 6, and longer term towards Europe, Craig and Thomo have built a very good footballing side, and with the addition of Roger Preece and our additional competition for places we are hopeful that the second half of the Season will bring Success to the Airfield”
