Airbus UK Broughton`s game against League Leaders Bangor City was the victim of a late refereeing decision on Friday Evening at the Airfield. Despite the efforts of the Management and a few players to get the lines free of snow and a few of the committee to get the surrounding areas gritted to avoid any injuries to spectators the game inevitably fell foul to the dropping temperatures despite only having 30 mins of snowfall mid afternoon.

4th Official Nick Pratt deemed the surface playable when he arrived as the light covering of snow was still soft as was the surface underneath, Match Referee Huw Jones arrived at 6.15pm and again deemed the surface playable, only once the players had warmed up and with only 15 minutes until kick off the Match Referee made the right decision in postponing the game, with a bit of forsight maybe the Match Officials would have seen fit to call the game off earlier to prevent supporters travelling and indeed the ground filling up with paying supporters.

Airbus Uk Broughton and Bangor City are yet to agree a re arranged date and it is likely to be early next week before any decisions are made with respect to this, as Airbus Uk Broughton are due to travel to Aberystwyth Town this coming Tuesday.

Re arranged fixture date will appear once agreed between the Clubs......
