FORTRESS Broughton was breached for the first time this season as Airbus lost their 100% home record in controversial circumstances to Prestatyn Town, who emerged 2-1 winners.
The visitors' Ian Griffiths forced Dave Roberts into a smart save in the opening minutes and the keeper then made another good stop from Alex Jones. But the Wingmakers started to assert and went close when Joe Chaplin's strike was diverted by keeper Ryan Woods.
Roberts made another good save from Ben Maher but only a last-ditch intervention from James Hay prevented Leo Riley from opening the scoring for Airbus and it was Town who took the lead when Roberts found himself in no man's land in an effort to halt Maher and Griffiths was left to fire into an empty goal on 36 minutes.
Airbus stepped-up a gear after the break and were back on level terms when Kristian Platt fired home from 12 yards after a skirmish in the box. Prestatyn then hit a post while Curtis Strong headed against the crossbar from close range, but the visitors took the lead again when the referee ruled-out a Dave Hayes header only to change his decision with Airbus attacking at the other end on the intervention of one of his assistants.
Lewis Buckley, Steve Tomassen, Nathan Quirk and Chaplin all went close but Airbus were unable to conjure another goal in the closing stages.
