CHRISTMAS arrived early for Airbus as they hammered Llanrhaeadr 6-2 to open-up a 13-point lead at the top of the table.
The Wingmakers produced a display of attractive attacking football that had the visitors on the back foot from the start with Lewis Buckley firing wide from the edge of the box and keeper Jimmy Haynes making a good stop from a Kristian Platt free kick.
But Haynes was defeated inside his near post on the quarter hour by Joe Palmer's snap shot from 20 yards and, after another couple of near misses, Leo Riley doubled the lead with a looping header from a James Hooper cross.
Buckley added a third on 35 minutes from the penalty spot and the game was over when, on the hour mark, Joe Chaplin scored a fourth.
Airbus paid the penalty for taking their foot off the gas when Marc Griffiths and Joe Vaughan both scored in a 10-minute spell, but Brady McGilloway finished off a fine move to quickly restore a three-goal cushion and, in the dying moments, a good individual goal made Hooper the sixth scorer of the afternoon.
