AIRBUS surged seven points clear at the top of the Huws Gray Alliance with a sixth straight victory, this time 3-2 over closest rivals Bangor City.
The Wingmakers got off to a flyer when a left wing corner was headed into the top corner of his own net by former Wrexham ace Marc Williams after just five minutes.
Asa Hamilton saw a good shot deflected wide but made no mistake when he beat Yalany Baio to a corner to head the second goal just inside the near post.
On the back foot for much of the first half, the Citizens got back into the game with two goals in two minutes midway through the second half. Former Wingmaker Lee Owens fired home a byline cross from Jake Phillips at the far post before Williams atoned for his earlier error with an equaliser via a huge deflectiom off a defender.
But the visitors' joy was shot-lived before a Leo Riley free kick from the right was met with a looping header from Steve Tomassen which Andy Stevens was unable to keep out of the net as it flew over keeper Chris Mullock.
Sub Lewis Buckley had two efforts from 20 yards, the first going just wide and the next narrowly over the bar, while Riley was wide of the target from a Harvey Ellis pass.
And Airbus almost added a fourth in the dying seconds when Mullock just manager to claw a free kick to safety.
Manager Steve O'Shaughnessy was delighted with the outcome and paid tribute to the second half contributions of youngsters Ellis and Josh Wright.
