AIRBUS produced arguably their best performance of the season to demolish Porthmadog 6-0 at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
There was much to admire about some superb passing football and a cohesive team performance which produced a welcome clean sheet and a man-of-the-match performance from Leo Riley.
The Wingmakers had the visitors under pressure from the start with Riley crashing a shot against an upright with keeper Richard Harvey well beaten and James Hooper firing wide from Riley's long ball.
A good move ended with Ryan Edwards firing well over before Alfons Fosu-Mensah broke the deadlock on 34 minutes with a close range finish for his 14th league goal of the season. Airbus quickly added two more before the break, with Riley crashing home a 20-yarder and James Hooper notching his first for the club after finding himself one-on-one with Harvey.
Six minutes after the break, Edwards added another before a Nathan Quirk free-kick on 74 minutes found Steve Tomassen who stuck out a foot to send the ball into the far corner.
The visitors toiled in vain, barely troubling debutant keeper Dave Roberts, and substitute Blake Robinson found fellow Under-19 sub Oli Lanceley who added the icing to the cake by crashing the ball into the roof of the the net to make it six with two minutes remaining.
