The
Secretary's Scribe for the Caersws home game
Good afternoon and welcome
to this WPL clash against Caersws FC. Greetings to all those who have travelled
up from Powys. Enjoy your stay and have a safe journey home.
The “Bluebirds” have
struggled again this season and are well of the pace to finish in the top 10,
though they have won the last two games 1-0 so come here in good form. Our
record at home against them is shocking with no wins, one draw and four defeats
in the five games we have played in the WPL.
Last Saturday we eventually
got a “monkey off our back” with first ever victory over Carmarthen Town in
twelve attempts and our first point(s) there in six visits. The game wasn’t a
classic you can say, with both defences on top and our third no score draw on
the trot looked on the cards until an howler from the home custodian in the 89th
minute presented a chance that Josh Johnson could not miss, though he seemed to
take forever to realise he was going to score the winner. At last some luck for
the ‘Bus.
Next Wednesday (10/3) we
play at Cefn Druids KO 19.30 followed by another home game next Saturday when
Port Talbot Town are the visitors. I am still waiting for an answer from
Prestatyn regarding the home game postponed from the 19th of last
month. We only have two midweek slots available due to other games/commitments,
so the game will be either the 7th or 21st of April.
I believe the League Cup
Final has been changed again for the third time to Tuesday 27th of
April between Rhyl and the New Saints. I have very little information at present
but will relay it to you when the club has been informed of the details.
Around the ground things are
progressing with the stand which we hope will be completed by the end of this
month and floodlights are scheduled for maintenance this coming Friday, with new
bulbs fitted and lights realigned.
Anybody wishing for
transportation to Elements on Wednesday evening please come and see me at this
afternoon’s game.
Please note there is No
Smoking in any of the covered areas of the ground.
Enjoy the game.
