AIRBUS Under-12s claimed the National Futsal Cup with a 2-0 final victory over fellow North Wales side Bangor City.
Their path to the final wasn't an easy one as South Wales champions Carmarthen Town held the Wingmakers to a 1-1 draw and penalties were needed to separate the two teams. Goalkeeper Jim McHarrie was the hero for the Under-12s as his save late in the shootout secured the passage into the final.
In a repeat of the North Wales final a month ago at Deeside Leisure Centre, Airbus reversed that result with a first half strike from Harry Kaye giving the Young wingmakers the lead before a second half goal from Josh Stennett secured the trophy.
Well done to the Under-12s and coach Tom Wellings on this huge achievement for the Academy - the seventh national academy trophy that club has won since 2010.
