AIRBUS have received a cash windfall of £11,750 from Uefa. The Wingmakers are one of four Welsh Premier League clubs, along with Bala, Newtown and TNS, to receive an additional cash bonus due to non-compliance with Financial Fair Play rules during the UEFA Champions and Europa League in the 2015/16 season.
In line with the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee taken in September 2014, UEFA confirmed that 80% of the amounts withheld due to non-compliance with the FFP rules are distributed to the clubs that played in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in equal shares.
The remaining 20% of the amounts withheld are then distributed to the clubs eliminated during the qualifying stages of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in equal shares.
For season 2015/16, the total amount of money withheld by UEFA from clubs not compliant with FFP Rules was €9,107,000
This total has therefore been split as follows:
– 80% (€7,285,600) for UCL/UEL group stage clubs (70) = €104,080 per club
– 20% (€1,821,400) for UCL/UEL qualifying phase clubs (155 – Clubs eliminated only) = €11,750 per club.
