Chris Budrys

TEN-man Airbus held on to a 1-0 half-time lead at Penrhyncoch, despite playing the whole of the second period with 10-men, to progress to the third round of The Word Cup.

Chris Budrys scored the game's only goal on the stroke of half-time, but Ryan Wade was sent-off after the half-time whistle for foul and abusive language by referee Huw Jones.

The Wingmakers now play away in a Flintshire derby at Gap Connah's Quay in the next round on October 30.

Llanelli reached the semi-finals with a 6-3 victory over Afan Lido, while Bala Town and Carmarthen are through to the third round.
