Newtown v Airbus

SATURDAY'S record-breaking 7-1 win at Newtown came at a cost as Steve Abbott, Chris Budrys and Jordan Johnson all picked-up injuries, while Jack Lewis and Tom Field are also struggling with knocks.

None of the five are fit to travel to Cae Baker on Tuesday night for the first round clash with Penrhyncoch in the new-look Welsh Premier League Cup.

That means several players bidding to force their way into the first-team squad will be handed a chance, including Sam Hart, Kyle Armstrong, Glenn Rule, Mike Hayes, Toby Jones and Tommy Holmes.

The Roosters only lost to a last-minute goal in their latest Huws Gray Alliance outing at table-topping Rhyl on Saturday, so go into the game in good form and likely to provide a stern test on their home patch as they bid to claim a Welsh Premier scalp and progress to the second round.
