Cassidy to have Premier League Trial
Airbus UK Broughton Teenage Striker Jake Cassidy is to go on trial at Premier League Club Wolverhampton Wanderers. After impressing since his Summer move from Llandudno Junction in the Welsh Alliance Cassidy will now have the opportunity to prove to coaches he has what it takes to become a full time Professional Footballer.
Youngster Cassidy has been attracting a number of Scouts to the Airfield with some eye catching displays which have included scoring 6 goals in 7 Pre Season Matches including goals against Everton, Droylsden and Wrexham.
The Wing Makers Manager Craig Harrison was pleased for the youngster to have the opportunity "Young Jake has done really well since coming to the Club, he has great ability and for a 17 year old lad his strength is unbelievable, having had the privilege of being a professional myself I am delighted that Jake has such a great opportunity ,he will be looked after by a Premier League Club during his time there, I will encourage him every step of the way, I am sure he will enjoy his week with Wolves and come back hungrier than ever to progress"
Cassidy is expected to spend an initial week with Coaches at Wolves and return for the Wing makers opening fixture in the Principality Welsh Premier League against Llanelli, although obviously dependent on his progress.
Meanwhile Craig Harrison`s men take on the much fancied AFC Fylde this coming Saturday (7th) at the Airfield in what is the Wing makers final Pre Season Friendly before the Opener against Andy Legg`s Llanelli, Fylde have been busy in the transfer market and are strongly tipped to be promotion candidates this season in the Evo Stick Division One North. Kick Off at the Airfield is 3.00pm
