Llanelli 2-2 Airbus UK Broughton
(August 16th 2009)
Airbus UK Broughton have drawn
their first away game of the season. Jiws scored the opening goal as early as
the 3rd minute and Jiws made it 2-0 on 57'. Llanelli were reduced to 10 men
after 57' when player manager was shown a straight red card to reduce the home
side to 10 men.
Airbus's goal remained empty
until the 76' when last season's party pooper Rhys Griffiths put the home side
back in the game to make it 2-1. Llanelli snatched a point in injury time when
Wyn Thomas equalised for the home side to make it 2-2. It's the 2nd year running
we have come close to claiming a victory over Llanelli at Stebonheath, but we
went one better than last year and claimed a point.
Their were 4 of the
pre-season's new players in the starting line up today. Keeper Kristian Rogers,
defender Rhys Roberts and strike force duo Marc Lloyd Williams and Carl Owen,
the subs bench had 16 year old George Cowell who played in the Reserves 5-0 win
yesterday.
A good start to Craig and his
teams start of the new season.

Rogers, Ryan Edwards (Mark Allen 84'), Giovanni Feliciello, Matthew Woodward
(Paul McManus 71'), Gareth Sudlow, Rhys Roberts, Ashley Williams, Danny
Desormeaux, Carl Owen, Mark Lloyd-Williams (James McIntosh 89'), Matthew Cook.
